Senior Pastor
Bishop Morrison is a strong believer in good leadership. He believes in upholding good morals, values and integrity.
Bishop Sigismund A. Morrison is a native of Clarendon, Jamaica who gave his life to the Lord early in his teenage years. He became a member of the Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP) in Clarendon in 1962, and from the very start Bishop Morrison was always passionate about his relationship with God. It was this passion that led him to become actively involved in the church -- specifically in Evangelism and Music Ministries.
In 1969 Bishop Morrison migrated to Canada. His passion for the work of the Lord continued to grow as he maintained services in the aforementioned ministries. He became a licensed minister in 1978 and in 1985 received his ordination as Bishop. To further his knowledge and understanding of God’s Word and Instructions for life, Bishop Morrison attended Tyndale Bible College and Seminary. He also received his certification as a Community Chaplin from the Church of God.
Over the years, he served in the pastoral role at various churches in the organization, namely: Ottawa, Winnipeg and Mississauga. In 1991, he became the senior pastor of the West End Church of God of Prophecy Worship Centre where he continues to serve diligently.
Bishop Morrison is a strong believer in good leadership. He believes in upholding good morals, values and integrity. He is deeply passionate about preparing people for the return of Christ, and therefore, his heart’s desire is focused on the "Harvest", especially "The Young Harvest". Bishop Morrison has great rapport with the youth and children of the local church and can call just about each one by name.
In addition to his pastoral work, Bishop Morrison serves in many capacities locally, nationally and internationally within the COGOP organization. This attitude of humble service can also be seen in his relentless involvement within the Community at large. He served as a representative of the Etobicoke Strategy Board, an Advisor in the establishment of the African-Canadian Christian Network and currently administers spiritual care at the West Park Extended Care Centre. Special recognitions have been given to Bishop Morrison from various levels of government for his years of service in ministry and contributions to the Community. He has a true love for all of God’s children.
In the midst of it all, Bishop Morrison enjoys quality time with his family. He has been married to his lovely wife Alma Leona Morrison (nee Bennett) for over 40 years. They have two children and are proud grandparents of four precious grand children.

Relationship is not only an emotional and physical need; it is also a spiritual need. Our Creator designed us to live in loving relationship with others. That’s why local church membership matters.
