This sermon calls the church to pray for the persecuted, remember our identity as disciples of Jesus, and live victoriously in a hostile culture through Christ’s finished work. Rooted in 1 Peter 3:18–22 and 4:1–11, it urges believers to renounce sin, cultivate discernment and holiness, and serve one another in love—“for love covers a multitude of sins”—so that God is glorified in His church.

This message is about stepping into a new school year knowing you are made in God’s image and called to live visibly for Jesus—being “salt and light” (Matthew 5:13–16) in classrooms, workplaces, and our city. It urges students, parents, and teachers to know God and make Him known through everyday good works that dispel darkness and point others to the Father, commissioning our church to pray over and send our young people as missionaries to their campuses.
